organ system (s) (noun), organ systems (pl)
Two or more organs interacting chemically, physically, or both, in ways that contribute to the survival of the whole organism: The organ system consists of different organs that function together as a biological system to carry out at least one task.

Heads of one layer are dessolved in the cell's fluid interior, and heads of the other layer are dissolved in the surroundings.

Sandwiched between the two are all of the fatty acid tails, which are hydrophobic.
