A reference to someone who can not tolerate opposing beliefs or opinions. (1)
Usually a reference to members of two political parties. (1)
Two-footed animals or creatures normally including humans, various kinds of birds, monkeys, etc. (1)
A comment or statement which is very sarcastic and the opposite of what it normally means. (1)
To try to convince someone by using flattery and by being especially nice to the person. (3)
That which is intended to influence an opinion or to persuade others to make desired decisions. (2)
Conveying a feeling of not being impressed or a lack of interest about something because of having experienced it so often before. (3)
A costly or serious mistake. (1)
An announcement or a written praise on the outer jacket of a book. (1)
High-sounding, pompous, inflated, or pretentious speaking. (3)
A drug that makes someone calm; comments or notions which are meant to make others feel happier or calmer; however, they are usually boring, not original, and so they are ineffective. (2)
